Privacy Policy
Rosemoor Community Association (RCA) does not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who helps us handle it. Effective October 20, 2026.
Who we are. RCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to revitalize the 103rd Street corridor in Chicago’s Rosemoor and Roseland neighborhoods. This policy covers the RCA Membership Portal at members.rosemoorchicago.org and our website at rosemoorchicago.org.
What we collect. When you join, sign in, attend an event or give, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, membership and dues status, event check-ins, volunteer hours, and any gift or brick purchase you make. Board and committee members also have records tied to meetings, votes and tasks. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We never receive your Google password.
Why we collect it. We use your information to run the membership, confirm who you are, process dues and gifts, plan events, send messages you signed up for, keep board records, and report on our work to funders in totals that do not name you.
Who helps us handle it. We pay a small group of services to operate the portal. Google handles sign in and file storage. Square processes payments, and we never see or store your full card number. Resend and Mailchimp send our emails. Emergent hosts the application. These services may only use your information to do their job for us. None of them are paid for your data.
Text and email. If you give us your phone number, you agree that RCA may text you about your membership and events. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Biometric data. RCA does not collect fingerprints, face scans or any other biometric data. Check-in uses PIN codes and QR codes only.
Children and youth. Youth members join only through a parent or guardian. We limit the information we keep about them and do not show it to other members.
How long we keep it. We keep member records while you are a member and for a reasonable period afterward for our records and legal requirements. Financial records are kept as the law requires.
Your choices. You can ask us at any time what we have on file about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it, unless the law requires us to keep it. Write to lolita@rosemoorchicago.org and we will respond within 30 days.
Security. Access to member information is limited by role. We use sign in protections and review who has access. No system is perfect, and if a problem affects your information we will tell you.
Changes. If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date.
